I love the idea of pulling business appropriate pieces and pairing them with something unconventional -- like reflective silver bike shorts. Roughened up with some shiny and spiky jewelry, yet still demure with a collard shirt, starry sky jacket and a strand of dime-sized crystals -- this might just be my go to deconstructed summer suit.

I've been wearing this outfit for a few days now, just interchanging different bracelet combos that I grab in the morning. Every time I get dressed, I seem to gravitate towards the same exact pieces -- I think the rainy days are to blame...not that I'm complaining. There's something oddly comforting about a too-bright pink scarf and loose folk-printed tee.

In the past month, I have managed to become an ice coffee drinker fiend. From never touching the stuff to craving it multiple times a day, it is becoming a small problem. Other obsessions include neon yellow, this Heidi-inspired hairstyle -- perfect for the summertime heat -- and of course my starfish cuff which seems to be is permanently suctioned to my wrist.

3) something beachy to accessorize with all summer

-- for a while now, and I am so excited with my discoveries!! It feels so good to cross a few wardrobe wishes off the old shopping list once in a while ;)

Many of you asked about the starfish cuff -- it was a gift from a friend in Poland for my bday and it finally arrived! (luckily for you Europeans it is only available in Europe...not so lucky for us here in the states!)

This dress has the most perfect pattern -- one that reminds me of soaking up the sun surrounded by palm trees and turquoise water (remember this). But since there is none of that around here for miles and miles (that exists naturally that is) its tropical vibe is the next best thing. Finally brought these shoes back out into the sunshine and oh how they missed the light! New summer uniform? I think so.

holiday

It seems as if I have taken a brief escape from blogging this week. But in all honesty, between moving, unpacking, and graduation parties, I have barely had time to read my favorite blogs let alone document my outfits. My to do list this week includes some heavy-duty closet overhaul and getting back on track.

Expect some great new outfits...my brain has been spinning with new ideas...
