I am wearing yet another Alice & Trixie piece, and from the second I tried it on I knew it would be a perfect end-of-the-summer-dress that I would wear again and again. It is so elegant yet the neon greens and sea blues keep it fun -- which I love. But what I adore most is it's versitility  -- I wore this great vest over it during the day and simply took it off for dinner that evening. 

This is the last outfit I wore before diving deep into the wilderness, leaving me with zero technology to speak of -- including Internet and cell service (explaining my long absence)...I'll show you where I was very soon...!!

emerald bay

So far in my Cali trip, we've explored San Fran, Sonoma, Napa, Sacramento and even Six Flags. But at the moment, I'm settled in at the dazzling views of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear water and emerald pines, I could get use to the simple life for a while.

dahlias

This dahlia farm in SF's Golden Gate Park was the perfect stage for this Alice & Trixie romper. The delicate flower pattern perfectly mirrors the colorful blooms, and the luxurious silk fabric makes it one-of-a-kind. Plus, the layering possibilites are pretty much infinite -- luckily for me since the weather is a bit chilly -- but I would wear this all on its own for a simple and chic summer look. This is definitely a summer staple and I also have a huge crush on a bunch of other pieces over at Alice and Trixie as well...

california waiting

In a few short days I will be lading in the sunny state of California!! I am beyond excited and have so many amazing stops on my way (as you can see in the picture above). But before I get ahead of myself, my immediate future consists of last minute details and packing until I bleed. I am definitely dreading that part, and am definitely taking a bigger suitcase than this one -- I'm not that talented!!
