off duty

Not my most innovative look, but something I would wear during the week for an easy day at work, and running errands. A girls gotta bundle up, it's getting cold over here!

easy like sunday morning

Sundays mean casual comfy. End of story. Cozy boots, an oversized shirt and comfy leggings are a go-to, no brainer, godsend (amiright?), especially after a busy weekend celebrating Halloween. Wore this while making an epic late-morning brunch with friends, and hunting for vintage furniture.

on fridays, we wear stripes

Is there anything better than a good striped ensemble to end a busy week?
Bring on the weekend!

falling into fall

We're pretty spoiled with fall-ness here in New England. I usually flip flop from being super into it, to doing the minimum from year to year. This time? I haven't even gone apple picking, and missed leaf peeping by a week. But I've got cozy layers covered. These boots just make everything feel that way, and look startlingly, wonderfully similar to the 5050 (but for a million dollars less).

olive morning

I am in no way a morning person -- actually quite the opposite. I snooze 'till the last possible minute, get myself ready in 5.3 minutes and run out the door to catch a train into Boston. I've been working on loving mornings, but pretty sure it will forever be love-hate.

This indian summer week is just what I needed before waving goodbye to all things summer. So one last outfit in shorts and sandals until my favorite boots and sweaters come out to play.

Happy weekend friends!

never gets old

I love when you buy something, and silently thank yourself for doing so whenever you throw it on -- it's the best feeling right? I do that every time I wear this coat. Every time (which is a lot). It's the ideal weight to wear indoors, and the pattern is as timeless as the shape. I always seem to pair it with another print, (like here) but am a fan of putting it over cigarette pants and a simple blouse. Or even a shift dress -- VERY Jackie O.

that paris edge

Ok. A week later and I am STILL addicted to the motorcycle look -- a spin on my last I-wish-I-was-wearing post here. Dark pants, golden shoes and deep lips have been my uniform of late. Seriously, I'm wearing all three right now. I love getting into a fashion rhythm that feels right.

TGIF friends! Any plans this weekend? xx

weekend in: moto chic

Spent my entire Sunday riding around with the BF on his Harley, and let me tell you I had the best time. Of course while he was more interested in safety -- thick leather jacket, hardcore boots, and sunglasses that covered my entire face -- I was dreaming up that perfect motorcycle chic look. A metallic gold skirt for the next run? Maybe not. But it's fun to pretend.

summer's sunsets

The end of summer is one of my favorite and least favorite times of years -- the quick crispness in the air, promise of new and exciting fall fashions, that heavy feeling of change.

But mostly I love those bright pink sunsets that fall over Boston's skyline, turning the entire city crazy beautiful colors for a minute. I think that is what attracted me so much to this dress. A color pallet so summery yet bittersweet, I had to make a second look from it.
