something overlooked

Meet my newest closet darling: the band-aid skirt. In the past, I have disregarded trying out this skintight bottom time and time again. The thought of wearing something that left little to the imagination just isn’t my thing so naturally I strayed far, far away. I can’t tell you what possessed me to try it out last week, but my mind has done a 180 and these skirts are all I want to wear. It is the ideal compliment (and contrast) to my signature-oversized tops, not to mention a savior on the windy streets of the city.

{H&M top; F21 band-aid skirt; vintage motorcycle jacket; Hue tights; Bloch flats; vintage jewelry; Ray Bans}

  15. I often avoid tight things myself, but I do like the tight bottoms and loose tops look on other people (you, for example). Doesn't work too well with my particular shape, unfortunately.

  31. It may be out of your comfort zone, but the skirt looks amazing on you! I think the jacket really helps balance the sexiness of the skirt.

  35. I've debated before whether I should buy a skirt similar to that. I liked the way it fit, and it was actually kind of flattering, but I kept thinking to myself this is way too short and I'm not 16 anymore so I put it back. I regret it a little bit, because I think I would have been able to make it work. Might have to go back for it now!
