"Never leave home without three pieces."

Great shoes? Check. Great bag? Check. Great scarf?

Totally check.

A few weeks back, I had the pleasure of meeting the founders of the coolest knit company in Boston: The Third Piece. These gals know their stuff - they make their own wool in beautiful earth tones, hand-knit all of their products with the help of a small team of knitting experts, and have caught the eye of some big name people (like Bergdorf Goodman), all while staying true to their longtime friendship.

I was excited to have the opportunity to style one of their beautiful handmade pieces - starting with the 'Beacon Scarf' (more styles to come..!). I love the versatility of this piece, and I'd be lying if I didn't love how warm it is. I've already worn this scarf both ways, a million times, and don't see a chance of stopping.

1: JCREW top (old) | MARSHALLS skirt | THE THIRD PIECE 'Beacon' scarf | MADEWELL boots (sale!) | BAGGU tote
2: CLUB MONACO dress | THE THIRD PIECE 'Beacon' scarf | MADEWELL boots (sale!) | HUE tights

gone to the dark side

Sooo, I'm a brunette! Some of you might have seen my instagram right after I made the plunge, but here fun little before and after shoot. It feels really (really) good to be back -- both to my natural hair color and to blogging.

1 {CLUB MONACO jacket (similar, similar); JCREW FACTORY dress; BP booties; KATE SPADE scarf; MICHAEL KORS bag}
2 {THEORY blazer (similar); H&M top + jeans; KATE SPADE shoes + watch; CATBIRD rings}

summer's sunsets

The end of summer is one of my favorite and least favorite times of years -- the quick crispness in the air, promise of new and exciting fall fashions, that heavy feeling of change.

But mostly I love those bright pink sunsets that fall over Boston's skyline, turning the entire city crazy beautiful colors for a minute. I think that is what attracted me so much to this dress. A color pallet so summery yet bittersweet, I had to make a second look from it.

1 {Kate Spade dress; Swedish Hasbeens for H&M (old but love these); Michael Kors bag; Juicy Couture watch}
2 {Ann Taylor cardigan (old); Anthropologie top (old); JCrew shorts; Gap sandals (on sale!); Kate Spade bag; Juicy Couture watch}

two ways: black, white and red

Sometimes I want to wear something simple, with a pop of color. Black and white, with a pop of red seems to always be my go to combo -- with my favorite Coach bag or this too-pretty-to-pass-up flower statement piece, this is my kind of easy dressing from this past week.

1 {Zara blazer (old, but different color here); JCrew top (old) + leggings; Madewell booties; Coach Legacy duffel}
2 {Warehouse blazer c/o; F21 top (old); JCrew leggings; Zara heels (old); F21 bag; JCrew necklace}
