camo cool

Not sure about the rest of the world, but I am still obsessed with camo. Probably because it's so damn easy to wear, and I like easy dressing.

And it's becoming a problem.

Meet my second camo jacket (sorry, not sorry), scored a few weeks ago on sale. Thought it would be fair to give my old, worn at least twice a week favorite a rest for a bit...Either that, or I might need to get help. Step AWAY from the camo girl. (Or not).

TGIF! x

such a tease

What I wore this Saturday when the day was actually magically springlike. I'll ignore that it's SNOWING in the city right now (such a tease), and live vicariously through a weekend spent celebrating birthdays, learning to cook the perfect chicken, and soaking up the sun.

Happy Monday, thanks for stopping by! x

two ways: black, white and red

Sometimes I want to wear something simple, with a pop of color. Black and white, with a pop of red seems to always be my go to combo -- with my favorite Coach bag or this too-pretty-to-pass-up flower statement piece, this is my kind of easy dressing from this past week.

1 {Zara blazer (old, but different color here); JCrew top (old) + leggings; Madewell booties; Coach Legacy duffel}
2 {Warehouse blazer c/o; F21 top (old); JCrew leggings; Zara heels (old); F21 bag; JCrew necklace}

bejeweled

I absolutely adore this skirt -- even more so with bare legs (extremely pale legs, but I can deal). Such a fun statement piece with an adorable balloon shape that makes me feel kind of fancy. All of the colors makes it easy to pair with bright colors, or mix with bold stripes, but today I decided to keep it classic with black and white. And it's (finally) on sale over at Kate Spade right now. Double score.

{Zara coat; Loft top; Kate Spade jewel print skirt (on sale!); Zara heels (old but similar, similar, + love these); Coach Legacy Duffle; bracelets - JCrew, Catbird}

improvised kaftan

I have always had a major crush on kaftans -- especially these -- but haven't had much luck scouting one for my own. So I decided to improvise.

This J.Crew dress caught my eye back in January. Tried one in my size and it was ok, nothing too special for the price. Fast forward a couple months, and I tried it again -- but two sizes larger -- and kind of loved it. This boho print just makes this extra-slouchy shape look less frumpy, and more of what I've been hunting for: an idea kaftan/dress hybrid ready for bare legs and sunset beach strolls.

{JCrew dress (on sale!); Plenty by Tracy Reese sweetheart pumps; Michael Kors bag (old); JCrew bracelets}

a little bit nautical

A little bit nautical today in anchors, stripes, polka dots etc. ect.

{Zara blazer (old but similar from Asos); Gap top (+ 20% off) + jeans (old); Kate Spade flats (old but similar on sale); vintage Coach Willis bag; Karen Walker 'Number One'; bracelets- JCrew, Catbird}

foxes + bow ties

Foxes wearing bow ties. Bow ties on foxes.

Of course I bought this.

The men's section is forever my favorite place to find great, easy-to-wear shirts. Perfect for days when you hit the snooze button one too many times, and need to run out the door like five minutes ago. It's super easy to throw on and layer with other patterns for that polished, yet perfectly causal look. Although neither my brother nor my bf would be caught dead in this, I can't stop, won't stop borrowing from the boys.

{JCrew jacket (old, but love this Gap jacket); Hawkings McGill Foxy Oxford (men's via UO); JCrew Pixie pant; Kate Spade flats (old, but similar on sale!); Coach Legacy Duffle in 'Black Cherry'; bracelets: Catbird, JCrew; YSL lip stain #14}

monogram in emerald

With all of the attention emerald green has been getting this season, I felt the need to try it out for myself -- pairing it with mint, and shades of cream. It's nice to take the simple route for a change after piling on the prints and play with the little details like golden bows, a crisp white bangle, and a very chic emerald monogram necklace.

{Zara jacket (recent); H&M peplum top (recent); JCrew Minnie pants; Kate Spade Karolina pump; Michael Kors bag; Acrylic Monogram Necklace c/o Best Personalized Jewelry; JCrew white bracelet, Catbird teardrop bracelet}

the coziest sweater

Well hello! That was quite an absence! I've been running around for the past two weeks working on projects outside of the blog-world -- half of which I was without my trusty laptop (such a mistake, blogging from an iPad is kind of the hardest thing. Ever). But it feels so good to be home, and back at it.

Since we've last talked, I've been wearing a lot of white, waves in my hair, and this cozy blanket sweater. Easy looks, for on the go. I snagged this sweater on sale at Anthro (similar style here) it has kept me cozy and warm during this last stretch of chilly February.

Hope you've all been well! I've missed you!

{Anthropologie sweater (similar from Anthropologie); JCrew dress (old, but similar from Zara); Coach Legacy Duffle in 'Black Cherry' (after stealing my mom's, I had to grab one of my own! got it on super sale at Macy's; Madewell zipcode boots; Kate Spade tights; Marshall's scarf; Sephora lip stain}
