Cage sandals + white is officialy my summer 2014 uniform. Fresh, yet edgy. Done.

such a tease

What I wore this Saturday when the day was actually magically springlike. I'll ignore that it's SNOWING in the city right now (such a tease), and live vicariously through a weekend spent celebrating birthdays, learning to cook the perfect chicken, and soaking up the sun.

weekend in: moto chic

Spent my entire Sunday riding around with the BF on his Harley, and let me tell you I had the best time. Of course while he was more interested in safety -- thick leather jacket, hardcore boots, and sunglasses that covered my entire face -- I was dreaming up that perfect motorcycle chic look. A metallic gold skirt for the next run? Maybe not. But it's fun to pretend.

For me, finding great basics feels like hitting the jackpot. Those wardrobe staples that I reach for season after season with my newest additions. No matter what the hottest trends are of the moment, I always seem to throw on a blazer with something striped, and something red. Especially for those nothing-to-wear days. The men's section is forever my favorite place to find great, easy-to-wear shirts. Perfect for days when you hit the snooze button one too many times, and need to run out the door like five minutes ago. It's super easy to throw on and layer with other patterns for that polished, yet perfectly causal look. Although neither my brother nor my bf would be caught dead in this, I can't stop, won't stop borrowing from the boys.
