Even though people express an absurd aversion towards wearing black with blue or even black and brown together (or – shock! – all three), I happen to be quite fond of the pairing. Plus such a rule is severely outdated in my opinion – with all the mismatched prints, inspired shapes and fresh combinations, fashion doesn’t seem to possess rules anymore.

I accidently blended three of fall’s biggest looks today: (p)leather, poncho silhouettes, and camel, and the results were a kind of sophisticated-laid-back-cool that I truly enjoyed. I must confess, that I was previously disgusted by ponchos and found them not only frumpy, but also unappealing to no end. However, this year’s updated, long sweater version makes me swoon. Another sweater I will wear nonstop? Check. As for these fantastic leggings: I found them last year at UO for $80…? And being unable to bring myself to buy them, waited and waited, and it all paid off when I snatched it up for a mere $9.99. You see patience does pay off, and fall’s freshest perspectives really are incredible.
