brick garden

I will never stop feeling charmed by Boston’s North End. It is just so adorable – like being transported back to a quaint European world. Today while catching up on some sibling time with my brother, we stumbled upon this hidden courtyard of brick and wiry plants. A place so sweet all I needed was a cannoli and some twinkling lights.

I dug this dress out of my closet today, which sadly has not seen the light of day too often. I remember spotting it years ago at an expensive store, putting it down after I saw the price tag, and then finding it almost a year later at the Saks outlet. Yes this is a true story indeed (and for much, much less mind you). It was a touch too big for me at the time (nothing a tailor can’t fix), but its graphic flowers, and brick reds, golden browns and deep navy made it too hard to put down. Long story short, I need to wear this more often, and fall just might be the perfect time to finally start showing it off!

*Many of you have asked who takes the photos for my blog. In fact, it is not just one person, but a few people. A few amazing people which include my brother (pictured above), my best friend, my mum and even my boyfriend (happy birthday yesterday!! ;) ) who are all so incredibly helpful and willing to put up with my variety of photo shoots. Thank you so much, I love you all :) xo

  30. Lovely dress (as usual) and I also love your green belt! It's definitely a great fall ensemble. I've been wanting to visit Boston's North End for a while after reading about it in Jane Jacobs book. Apparently it used to be considered a disaster and all the urban planners wanted to tear it down, but she visited, thought it was a really special neighbourhood, and wrote about it in a way that revolutionized Urban Planning. There's your trivia for the day?

Boston is one of my favorite cities to visit. It's been a while, though. I need to go again.

I haven't paid your blog a proper visit in a few weeks, so I'm diving in to look at past posts. A few comments might pop up on some older entries :)
