When the weather is scorching hot like it is today, no one wants to wear anything really fussy or elaborate. Which is probably why I reached for a pair of printed shorts and a simple cotton tank both found at J Crew on sale. The shorts were only $19.99 from around $44 and the shirt cost me a whopping $13. The African print is perfectly bold yet compliments the preppy shape of the shorts. I topped it off with a few key accessories: a brown belt with a muted pattern (Target for under $20) and my cross double ring I featured here. That ring was only $4.80 – you have to love Forever 21! The shoes were a gift from my very sweet boyfriend for my birthday. They are gorgeous cream white patent leather with suede caps; he did quite well I think :)
