giraffes like grass

This week I have been visiting family in New York City and I am crazy about the never-ending summer sales that are going on (but weary about the fact that I will soon be sifting through sweaters in the heat of July and August). Everything has been screaming, “buy me” (!) which is a challenge for this girl to resist. Luckily I was fortunate enough to snag these adorable (amazing!) silk giraffe shorts from Anthropologie. I spotted them a few months back and sadly placed them back on their shelf – I couldn’t bring myself to spend the 98 dollars on it. But happily we were reunited and it feels so good!

My giraffe shorts and I went for a walk through Central Park yesterday. We walked past the zoo, by some weird sculptures and gazed upon the lovely architecture and foliage. I matched them with some stripes and blue beads, and once again my See by Chloe bag. Whenever I start using a bag, I tend to use it to death before I change it, but a change is due soon! I will sadly be leaving New York tonight and trudge back to my uninteresting town. I will miss it!

It was a perfect day, to say the least; I do love a shopper’s happy ending.
