gourmet treats

I love food although I am somewhat helpless in the kitchen – when it comes to all those fancy words and the concept of “eyeballing” ingredients, I get totally lost (I am a connoisseur at cutting things up though!). But that doesn’t discourage me from admiring fresh ingredients and yummy recipes. One of my favorite grocery stores to visit when I am in New York has to be the Westside Market in Manhattan. Not only are their selections fresh and exotic, they have a never-ending menu of expertly crafted goodies for those of us who need some inspiration or professional help.

It is also the perfect place to show off my favorite romper ;)

I am sure they were more than pleased at my secret photo op taken sneakily between their aisles, but I couldn’t resist! Everything there is so colorful and thus a fantastic backdrop for my outfit. This was actually the first romper that I ever bought, and I found it at Target last year for a very pleasing price. I paired it with a bright bag that compliments the tribal pattern rather nicely as well as with my usual jewelry. Unfortunately I couldn’t buy out the whole stock, but I left with some great ingredients and a big appetite :}
