golden locks

Yellow is one of my favorite colors and I especially love when blondes wear it. In reality, love might be an understatement. I have always admired their locks of beautiful flaxen hair and secretly desired to go lighter myself for quite some time – actually for a really long time. Now, it’s no surprise that I am not a natural born blonde. Rather I was bestowed with deep brown tresses and I always had a small fear of really dying it. But, after much consideration I decided to take the plunge and fulfill my dreams. And I cannot tell you how excited I was to wear yellow!

I adore how this lovely golden dress compliments blonde hair (although it would look equally as stunning with dark hair) and would probably wear it everyday if that was socially acceptable. It has a gorgeous vintage feel to it and is greatly complimented by classic accessories. Even better, it has tiny little owls printed all over. Better still, it was on sale. I decided to embrace the sock with sandal look to dress it down. I am sometimes weary about using this trend because it can sometimes look a little old-man-on-vacation or Jesus-esque, but the results were quite chic. Maybe I will wear this everyday – no one has to know right?
