When I was old enough to watch reruns of Sex in the City, I was always rather perplexed by Carrie’s gigantic obsession with Manolo Blahniks. Sure they scream the utmost quality and status – which they should thanks to their $500 plus price tag – but they never struck me as something worth pining over. Their designs are not exactly my taste and some of the shoes she would long for did not seem very special. But to each their own, I guess. And for this girl, Carrie’s Manolos are my Marc Jacobs.

I definitely struck shoppers’ gold with this pair of gorgeous platform sandals I found this weekend in Boston’s Marc Jacobs store. I like to stroll in there from time to time and look through some of my favorite things. And I especially like it when there is a “70% off all shoes” sign hanging in the entryway; it’s like Christmas morning to me. Anyway, I couldn’t pass up this pair (the colors are stunning and the platform is perfection) and the fact that the last pair was in my size was definitely fate. From $370 to $110 I don’t think I did half bad. This romper is also a bargain find from Urban Outfitters and I love the look (and the back detail). For $19.99 I was sold!
