all marc-ed up

When I reached into my closet and produced this outfit, I was rather excited by its look. However, I became a little embarrassed when I realized that (almost) every piece I had selected was Marc Jacobs. OK, I admit I might possibly have a small problem or shall we say teeny tiny partiality towards his designs. But the jacket is menswear so that counts for something right?

With that aside, this ruffle party dress is divine and I would wear it everywhere – grocery shopping, beach frolicking or to all of those tea parties I am yet to be invited to. It is such a fun piece and makes me feel instantly ready to swing and curtsy. It’s girly-ness is only punctuated by lovely skinny stripes and charming baby bows. In an effort to roughen it up just a tad, I threw on a men’s blazer with a similar striped detail along with a fringe purse I found for 7 bucks (!). I won’t lie – it’s pretty sweet to have a stylish brother (you’re welcome Kenny) with a closet full of fun clothes to secretly raid.

And these shoes are just fantastic. I found them literally waiting and begging me to buy them at New York’s Century 21 this past spring. I can go on for days and days about how much I adore them. But you don’t want to hear all about that –who knows how long you would have to be here!!!

Who is your favorite designer? I would love to know :}

{dress, blazer, mouse flats - all Marc Jacobs; H&M silver and blue rings; H&M fringe bag}
